Easter 2012

Can you believe it's May already! This year is going very fast. Ant, Vicki and I have all uploaded our May challenges for you over at Scrapbooking  top 50.

I have seen a lot of banner layouts recently on  blogs. I am loving the trend and thought I would jump on board.

So this challenge I have set for May at Scrapbooking top 50 is all about banners. Please go here to see the challenge, I would love you to play along. A great prize from Handmade by Halo is up for grabs.

I used a lot of scrap for this layout. My border patterned paper and the paper inside the title frames are both scraps. I also had a lot of half doilies lying around that I used too.

I have used twine for my banners string and attached it with staples, glue and machine stitiching.

The use of the mini Melissa francis frames housing my title letters was inspired by Merdrey Chew and her recent use of Melissa francis resin products. Please check out her gorgeous blog
