20 kisses!!

Have you seen the current march sketch challenge over at SBT50?
Chloe designed this sketch based on on a layout Vicki did for a past cyber crop.

Here is the sketch:

Normally I scrap one photo layouts, occasionally a 2 photo layout.
So a 4 photo layout was a bit daunting for me.
I went with 4 photos and put a gap between by 3rd and 4th photos. As I like   asymmetry  on my layouts.

Sunday 2 March 2014

Today is the day...

So my health retreat I mentioned in a past post came about from over working.
I burnt myself out. For the last year I have worked like a machine. Sometimes 14 days on 1 day off, some days 12 hours long. I stupidly thought I didn't have a breaking point but I did.
I'm feeling sooo much better after 2 weeks off work. And have a changed out look. I need to look out for ME. I'm no good to my family or my work if I'm stressed. So my suggestion to you all is don't forget to look out for YOU. I think that the modern woman has a lot on her plate. Be it motherhood, career, relationship or a combination of all. And amidst caring for everyone else and striving to do our best we often forget to look out for number 1.

Today is my birthday. I am 31 today. And this layout is dedicated to my new way of thinking. That I need to start to look out for me too.

The layout is for Chloe's CC puzzle Savvy challenge. Here is the criteria:

I started with water colour paints, gesso and washi and created a background I didn't like LOL.
So I cut out the bits I did like and stuck them on a new piece of white card stock.
I kept the embellies to a minimum and used a fair bit of white space as I wanted my photo and title and journalling to be the focus.
