My "biggest loser" challenge

I'm running really behind with my blog posts. In fact with most things in my life. As work is consuming my life at the moment. Hopefully work will slow down and I can catch up on my life soon. Anyway..

Our "back to reality "Cyber crop is almost finished as Scrapbooking Top 50 Australia

We have awesome challenges and great prizes up for grabs.

You still have until midnight tonight to Join in the fun here

The challenge I set is a "biggest loser" challenge. We also have a "masterchef" challenge, a "my house rules" challenge and an "extreme makeover" cxhallenge. Join in the fun here.
My challenge was inspired by the reality TV show "the biggest loser". Where contestants weigh in every week, hoping to have lost weight.
Since the biggest source of weight on our layouts is usually embellishements.
My challenge is to either stack on the weight by using multiple embellishments, at least six.
Or to shed some weight by using no embellishments at all!

If you decided to go with no embellishments you can get creative with patterned papers, mists, paints, ink, doodling. The only "embellishments" allowed are washi tape and alphas.
Since my layouts tend to usually be embellishment heavy, I decided to challenge myself, by using no embellishments!

I got creative with pattern papers, doodling, washi tapes, paints and multiple different colour nail polishes!

I'd love to see you all give my challenge a go. Join in the fun here

Scrapbooking memories commissioned journaling article!! / "photo prop fail"

So I'm tooting my own horn a bit here. But I just had to share this exciting news.

You can imagine my delight when Scrapbooking memories contacted me back in November last year out of the blue for a magazine"feature".
I was even more shocked to learn that they wanted to commission me to write an article and scrap a layout to go with it!
The brief was broad ; just to make it about Journalling.
So I wrote an article on "journalling outside of the square"
Basically methods and tips to kill your writers block when journalling and get you thinking about more than just the standard, who, what, where and date.

So my first article was published In March in Scrapbooking Memories, Volume 15, No 7, page 74.

Notice the gorugeous Ah Scrap embellishments on there!
