Goodbye for now.. but not forever

I am playing catch up with some layouts at the moment. July is a hectic month for us. Little miss turned 3 today and My man turns 40 in two days.
She had a fairy  tea party last week with 10 friends at a shop, with a fairy entertainer.
We are having a party for 70 people for my man tomorrow night at a function place, it should be a fun night.

So currently case Case file number 27  is open at CSI. You should check it out. It is open until Midnight on July 15th, so still time to get your layouts in.
This is the gorgeous case file. I don't have a layout to share for it unfortunately as I have been so busy with party planning.

I want to share my layout for case file number 26 As soon as I saw the case I knew which photo I wanted to scrap. This was the case file, the case is now closed:

The photo is off me and my partner walking our sons, Lachlan's coffin into his funeral.

The case was released on a special day, it was June 29th, 6 months since my sons passing.
Here is my layout entitled, "good bye for now... but not forever"

For my evidence;
I used:
Scallops (scalloped lace)
Metal (black metal pendant and chain)
Flowers
Fleur-dy-lys
Added "icing" to my layout (gesso mixed with yellow paint, scrapped over page and elements)
Crown accent

For my testimony;
I used:
Add scallops to your journalling spot (my jourannling spot is hidden behind the bottom left hand side of the page, you can see some lace there. If you pull the lace the journalling spot is attached and will come out)

Write a bunch of little things about your subject and then finish with what the very best thing is/was
( I listed little things we did at the funeral to try and make it as lovely as possible. I then said the best thing about the sad event was the love that could be felt between everyone and for my son)

Inspiration word: Strong.
I wrote about how it took a lot of strength to plan my son's funeral. And how it was one of the hardest things a parent will ever have to do.
